今年有幸入围了东京国际电影节主竞赛单元

Was shortlisted for Tokyo International Film Festival's principal section

shuō de shì zài bā shí nián dài yī gè qīng nián gōng rén kuàng gōng lǐ wǔ

说的是在八十年代，一个青年工人（矿工）李五

The story is set in the 1980s, a young miner (Li Wu)

zài zì jǐ qī zi chén huì de bāng zhù xià

在自己妻子陈蕙的帮助下

With the help of his wife Chen Hui

xiě shī gǎi biàn mìng yùn

写诗改变命运

Changes his life by writing poems

jù běn shì wǒ shí nián qián xiě de

剧本是我十年前写的

I wrote the script ten years ago

wǒ cóng xiǎo shì zài ān huī wú hú zhǎng dà de

我从小是在安徽芜湖长大的

I grew up in Wuhu, Anhui province

yīn wèi wǒ men shì cóng nà gè bā shí nián dài

因为我们是从那个八十年代

In my childhood, the 80s

zì jǐ yě xiě shī a

自己也写诗啊

We wrote poems ourselves

jīng lì le zhěng gè yī gè shí dài de biàn qiān

经历了整个一个时代的变迁

After going through all these changes

jiù shì xiǎng zhǎo yī gè qì jī

就是想找一个契机

I long for a chance

wǒ zhòng xīn huí dào nà gè nián dài qù zài zǒu yī biàn

我重新回到那个年代去再走一遍

A chance to go back to that time

zhè gè lǐ wǔ

这个李五

Li Wu

wén zì shàng lüè yǒu cái qíng

文字上略有才情

Is somewhat gifted on literature

nǐ fā le yī shǒu shī

你发了一首诗

You publish a poem

nǐ zài zhěng gè dān wèi jiù yī xià zi jiù huì shēng míng què qǐ

你在整个单位就一下子就会声名鹊起

And you become famous

bǔ le zhāng wén píng zhī hòu

补了张文凭之后

Then you acquire a diploma

nǐ cóng cǐ jiù shì gàn bù biān zhì

你从此就是干部编制

And you suddenly turn into a manager

zǒu dào nǎ dōu shì qián hū hòu yōng de

走到哪都是前呼后拥的

You have retinue here and there

děng dào tā jìn rù dào nián dài

等到他进入到90年代

Then he enters the 1990s

shī rén bù chī xiāng le

诗人不吃香了

Poets are no longer in high favor

méi yǒu rén lǐ cǎi tā

没有人理睬他

He grows to be neglected

hái yào sì chù huà yuán

还要四处化缘

And he has to beg

chén huì jiù shì yī gè

陈蕙就是一个

Hui is a woman

nǔ lì yào bāng zhù zì jǐ zhàng fū gǎi biàn mìng yùn de yī gè nǚ rén

努力要帮助自己丈夫改变命运的一个女人

Who does everything just to help her husband to change his life

děng dào zì jǐ zhàng fū chéng míng zhī hòu

等到自己丈夫成名之后

And after he achieves success

yuǎn yuǎn dì guān wàng

远远地观望

She retreats

jìng jìng dì zhù fú

静静地祝福

And prays for him

chén huì shēn shàng shì yǒu qiān bān de mǔ ài mǔ xìng

陈蕙身上是有千般的母爱、母性

Hui is a great mother

wǒ jiù shì tā mā tā jiù shì wǒ de ér zi

“我就是他妈，他就是我的儿子”

"I'm his mother and he is my son"

tā gēn zì jǐ lǎo gōng shuō wǒ ài nǐ

她跟自己老公说，我爱你

She tells her husband, I love you

wǒ zǒng yǒu yī tiān lián nǐ de yǐng zi hé nǐ shēn shàng de qì wèi

我总有一天连你的影子和你身上的气味

One day I will take away

wǒ dōu yào dài zǒu

我都要带走

Even your shadow and your scent

zhǐ yào shì nǐ de dōng xī

“只要是你的东西”

"In this lifetime, whatever is yours"

nǎ pà shì nǐ de yǐng zi

“哪怕是你的影子”

"Even your shadow"

hé nǐ shēn shàng de wèi

我个人是非常迷恋陈蕙的

I myself favor Hui

yī gè méi yǒu shī yì de nián dài

一个没有诗意的年代

In an era deprived of poetry

tā hái shì jǐn shèng de zhè me yī gè shī rén

她还是仅剩的这么一个诗人

She is the real poet

qí shí lǐ wǔ duì zì jǐ de ài qī hái shì yǒu qiān guà de

其实李五对自己的爱妻还是有牵挂的

Wu actually cares about his wife

dào guǎng chǎng shàng zuì hòu tā shān rán lèi xià

到广场上，最后他潸然泪下

On the square, he cries

yě bù guāng shì duì zì jǐ de ài qī

也不光是对自己的爱妻

Not just for his wife

yě shì duì tā zì jǐ zhè yī shēng de zǒng jié

也是对他自己这一生的总结

Also for his life

shì duì tā zì jǐ zuò wèi yī gè shī rén

是对他自己作为一个诗人

It is his penitence as a poet

zhè yī shēng méi yǒu tà tà shí shí xiě chū yī xíng shī yī shǒu shī de yī zhǒng chàn huǐ

这一生没有踏踏实实写出一行诗、一首诗的一种忏悔

Who has not written even one verse on a firm footing

wǒ yào shā le nǐ

“我要杀了你”

"I want to kill you"

tā men de fēn kāi zhè shì bì rán de

（他们的分开）这是必然的

It is bound to happen that they part

qí shí zài zhè gè shè huì biàn qiān xià

其实在这个社会变迁下

As the winds of change sweep through the nation

céng jīng de shú xī de yī qiè

曾经的熟悉的一切

Everything familiar

suí shí dōu huì yǒu fēn bēng wǎ jiě de kě néng

随时都会有分崩瓦解的可能

Could break anytime

wǒ men shì zài xīn jiāng hā mì wú rén qū

我们是在新疆哈密无人区

In an unpopulated zone in Hami, Xinjiang

wǒ men zài yī gè wàn píng mǐ de yī gè fèi xū shàng

我们在一个1万平米的一个废墟上

On a 10,000-square-meter ruin

dā le yī gè zhǔ chǎng jǐng chū lái

搭了一个主场景出来

We built the scene

céng jīng de nà zhǒng qì shì nǐ kě yǐ xiǎng xiàng

曾经的那种气势你可以想象

You can imagine how splendid it was

shàng qiān hào rén zài méi kuàng xià miàn

上千号人在煤矿下面

Thousands of people under the mine

duō tàng huǒ chē dōu shì zhēng qì jī

30多趟火车都是蒸汽机

Over 30 trains, all those steam engines

pǎo shàng pǎo xià rè huǒ cháo tiān de nà zhǒng chǎng miàn

跑上跑下，热火朝天的那种场面

Up and down in full swing

dào xiàn zài jī běn shàng jiù hěn xiāo tiáo le

到现在基本上就很萧条了

And now it is desolate

gèng duō dì jì lù le yī duàn lì shǐ

更多地记录了一段历史

It is a record of a history

nǎ xiē dōng xī hái zài nǎ xiē dōng xī yǐ jīng bù zài

哪些东西还在，哪些东西已经不在？

What is still there, what has vanished with time

hái yǒu hǎo duō shī rén cún zài

还有好多诗人存在

There are still poets

měi gè rén dōu zài jì xù zài xiě shī nǔ lì

每个人都在继续在写诗努力

They work hard to write poems

dàn zhěng tǐ yǐ jīng diū diào le

但整体已经丢掉了

But the atmosphere is different

rèn hé yī gè guó jiā yī gè mín zú

任何一个国家一个民族

For a country or a nation

wǒ jiù jué dé wén xué shì bù néng diū diào de

我就觉得文学是不能丢掉的

Literature is a basic

qí zhōng shī gē shì gèng bù néng diū diào

其中诗歌是更不能丢掉

And poetry is the basic of basic
