Almost 600 square meters

位于上海的西郊

Located in the western suburbs of Shanghai

wǒ yǒu yī gè bā jiǔ suì de hái zi

我有一个八九岁的孩子

I have an eight or nine year old child

wǒ hé tóng tóng de shēng fù zài hái zi hěn xiǎo de shí hòu

我和童童的生父在孩子很小的时候

Tongtong’s biological father and I

wǒ men jiù fēn kāi le

我们就分开了

We are separated

hòu lái yù dào le xiàn zài de xiān shēng zhòng zǔ le jiā tíng

后来遇到了现在的先生重组了家庭

Later, I met my husband and reorganized the family

yīn wèi dà rén de yuán yīn

因为大人的原因

Because of adults

gěi hái zi zào chéng le yī xiē xīn lǐ shàng de bō zhé

给孩子造成了一些心理上的波折

Caused some psychological twists and turns to the child

qí shí wǒ nèi xīn hái shì yǒu yī xiē kuì jiù de

其实我内心还是有一些愧疚的

Actually, I still have some guilt in my heart

wǒ xī wàng néng gòu tōng guò wǒ gěi tā gèng duō de ài

我希望能够通过我给他更多的爱

I hope to give him more love through me

lái mí bǔ zhè yī xiē kuì jiù

来弥补这一些愧疚

To make up for this guilt

wǒ men jiā lǐ zhēn de xiàng yī gè ér tóng lè yuán

我们家里真的像一个儿童乐园

Our home is really like a children's playground

rú guǒ bāo hán dì xià shì de huà yǒu sì céng

如果包含地下室的话有四层

There are four floors if it includes a basement

yǒu shù wū yǒu lè gāo fáng yǒu yǒng chí hái yǒu tiào tiào chuáng

有树屋、有乐高房、有泳池，还有跳跳床

There are tree houses, Lego rooms, swimming pools, and jumping beds

zhuāng xiū de fèi yòng dà gài yòng le wàn zuǒ yòu

装修的费用大概用了600万左右

The cost of decoration is about 6 million

fáng zi sān gè miàn dōu huán yǒu shuǐ

房子三个面都环有水

The house is surrounded by water on three sides

wǒ men zài huā yuán lǐ zhǎo le yī kē fēi cháng piāo liàng de shù

我们在花园里找了一颗非常漂亮的树

We found a very beautiful tree in the garden

gěi tā dā le yī gè shù wū

给他搭了一个树屋

Built him a tree house

chéng wèi xiǎo péng yǒu shè jiāo de zhòng yào chǎng hé

成为小朋友社交的重要场合

Become an important occasion for children to socialize

yǒu hěn duō wǒ de xiǎo fěn sī jiù shì tóng tóng de tóng xué

有很多我的小粉丝，就是童童的同学

Many of my little fans are Tongtong’s classmates

tā men dōu shě bù dé zǒu

他们都舍不得走

They all reluctant to leave

zhè shì ràng wǒ shè jì wán zhè gè fáng zi zuì kāi xīn de yī gè bù fēn

这是让我设计完这个房子最开心的一个部分

This is the part that made me happiest after designing this house

nà shén zhì yǒu shí hòu

那甚至有时候

That even sometimes

tā xū yào jìng sī de shí hòu huì pǎo qù zhè gè xiǎo shù wū

他需要静思的时候，会跑去这个小树屋

When he needs to meditate, he will go to this small tree house

tā yě hěn xǐ huān wán shuǐ

他也很喜欢玩水

He also likes to play in water

wǒ zài wǒ de qián yuàn shè jì le yī gè yǒng chí

我在我的前院设计了一个泳池

I designed a swimming pool in my front yard

wǒ bǎ zhè gè yǒng chí de dì píng zuò dé gēn shì nèi yī yàng gāo

我把这个泳池的地平做得跟室内一样高

I made the floor of this swimming pool as high as indoors

zhè yàng cóng wǒ de kè tīng jiù kě yǐ zhí jiē zǒu dào huā yuán lǐ

这样从我的客厅就可以直接走到花园里

So I can walk directly into the garden from my living room

zhí jiē tiào rù yǒng chí lǐ

直接跳入泳池里

Jump directly into the pool

yī lóu xià miàn shì yī gè dì xià shì

一楼下面是一个地下室

Below the first floor is a basement

quán bù dōu zuò wèi hái zi de yī gè yóu lè yuán

全部都作为孩子的一个游乐园

All as an amusement park for children

yǒu yī gè fēi cháng dà de lè gāo guì

有一个非常大的乐高柜

There is a very large Lego cabinet

lìng wài yī miàn qiáng jiù shì tā de wán jù qiáng

另外一面墙就是他的玩具墙

The other wall is his toy wall

cháng cháng jiù shì huì yǒu shí jǐ gè hái zi jiù wō zài zhè gè dì xià shì

常常就是会有十几个孩子就窝在这个地下室

There are often more than a dozen children in this basement

èr lóu shì xiǎo péng yǒu dàn qín de dì fāng

二楼是小朋友弹琴的地方

The second floor is where children play the piano

chuāng shì tōng wǎng kè tīng de

窗是通往客厅的

The window leads to the living room

dǎ kāi zhè gè chuāng wǒ men jiù huì zài kè tīng tīng dào xiǎo péng yǒu dàn gāng qín

打开这个窗我们就会在客厅听到小朋友弹钢琴

Open this window and we will hear the kids playing the piano in the living room

jiā tíng shì qí shí píng shí jiù shì wǒ men fēi cháng fàng sōng de huán jìng

家庭室其实平时就是我们非常放松的环境

The family room is actually a very relaxing environment for us

wǒ huì zài zhè gè shū zhuō shàng zuò wǒ de yī xiē gōng zuò

我会在这个书桌上做我的一些工作

I will do some of my work on this desk

wǒ de xiān shēng zài nà biān kàn shū

我的先生在那边看书

My husband is reading over there

hé zhè gè kōng jiān dǎ tōng de dì fāng jiù shì xiǎo péng yǒu xué xí de dì fāng

和这个空间打通的地方就是小朋友学习的地方

The place that connects with this space is where children learn

wǒ men bǐ cǐ hái huì yǒu yī xiē jiāo liú

我们彼此还会有一些交流

We will have some communication with each other

qí shí cóng wǒ dà xué bì yè dào xiàn zài

其实从我大学毕业到现在

Actually, from my university till now

bān jiā yǒu bān le shí jǐ cì

搬家有搬了十几次

I moved a dozen times

suǒ yǐ zài zhè cì de zhuāng xiū lǐ wǒ xī wàng wǒ men néng wěn dìng xià lái

所以在这次的装修里，我希望我们能稳定下来

So in this renovation, I hope we can stabilize

jǐn kě néng dì xiǎng dào yī qiè de gōng néng

尽可能地想到一切的功能

Think of all functions as much as possible

bāo kuò kě néng xū yào chū qù cái néng shí xiàn de yī xiē gōng néng

包括可能需要出去才能实现的一些功能

Including some functions that may need to go out to achieve

wǒ gēn wǒ xiān shēng dōu hěn ài hē chá

我跟我先生都很爱喝茶

My husband and I love tea

wǒ zhǎo le yī gè dǐng lóu de lù tái lái zuò wèi wǒ de chá shì

我找了一个顶楼的露台，来作为我的茶室

I found a terrace on the top floor as my tea room

sān miàn chuāng

三面窗

Three-sided windows

běi biān de dì fāng zuò le yī piàn zhú lín

北边的地方做了一片竹林

Made a bamboo forest in the north

yǒu le zhè gè chá shì yǐ hòu wǒ men jī běn shàng dōu bù huì zài wài miàn hē chá le

有了这个茶室以后，我们基本上都不会在外面喝茶了

After having this tea room, we basically won’t drink tea outside

chá shì páng biān jiù shì yī gè gé lóu

茶室旁边就是一个阁楼

Next to the tea room is a loft

lóu gāo fēi cháng ǎi suǒ yǐ wǒ shè jì le yī gè wǒ de xiǎo gōng zuò shì

楼高非常矮，所以我设计了一个我的小工作室

The building is very low, so I designed my small studio

yǒu shí hòu wǒ huì zài zhè biān xiū wǎn

有时候我会在这边修碗

Sometimes I will fix the bowl here

wǒ zuì jìn xǐ huān shàng jīn shàn

我最近喜欢上金缮

I like Jin Zang recently

xiān shēng yě huì zài zhè biān xiě xiě máo bǐ zì

先生也会在这边写写毛笔字

Mr. will also write calligraphy here

jīn shàn shì yào yòng shì jiè zuì áng guì de dōng xī

金缮是要用世界最昂贵的东西

Jin Shan is the most expensive thing in the world

qù xiū fù yī gè cán quē de dōng xī

去修复一个残缺的东西

To repair a broken thing

yě ràng wǒ zài qí zhōng dé dào le yī xiē zhé lǐ de qǐ fā

也让我在其中得到了一些哲理的启发

It also gave me some philosophical inspiration

我的先生其实我觉得他最大的爱好是做菜

My husband actually I think his biggest hobby is cooking

我们有一个西厨，还有一个中厨

We have a western kitchen and a Chinese kitchen

wǒ bǎ cān tīng hé hù wài de shāo kǎo píng tái dǎ tōng le qǐ lái

我把餐厅和户外的烧烤平台打通了起来

I opened up the restaurant and the outdoor barbecue platform

jiù jué dé hěn qīn jìn zì rán

就觉得很亲近自然

I feel very close to nature

wǒ shì xī wàng zài zhè gè fáng zi lǐ miàn

我是希望在这个房子里面

I hope in this house

néng gòu gěi tā yī gè fēi cháng měi hǎo de tóng nián de huí yì

能够给他一个非常美好的童年的回忆

Can give him a very good childhood memory

rén de yī shēng kě néng zuì měi hǎo de shí duàn jiù shì tóng nián le

人的一生可能最美好的时段就是童年了

Perhaps the best time in a person’s life is childhood
