wǒ men xiàn zài shì zài xī cáng de dāng xióng xiàn qiāng táng dà cǎo yuán

我们现在是在西藏的当雄县羌塘大草原

Now we’re on the Qiangtang Grassland of Damxung County, Tibet

hǎi bá mǐ hū xī huì yǒu xiē kùn nán

海拔4300米，呼吸会有些困难

It’s 4,300 meters above the sea level and it’s somewhat difficult to breathe here

bèi hòu shì mǐ de niàn qīng táng gǔ lā shān zhǔ fēng

背后是7100米的念青唐古拉山主峰

At the back there’s the main peak of Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains at an elevation of 7,100 meters

zài lā sà tōng wǎng nà mù cuò de yī gè bì jīng zhī lù shàng

在拉萨通往纳木错的一个必经之路上

On the only road from Lhasa to Namtso

wǒ men zài zhè lǐ shè jì le yī gè zhuān mén gěi lǚ kè de jiā

我们在这里设计了一个专门给旅客的家

We design a home especially for travelers

shè jì líng gǎn lái yuán yú chuán tǒng de hēi zhàng péng

设计灵感来源于传统的黑帐篷

We’re inspired by the traditional black tent

zhè shì qīng cáng gāo yuán shàng cáng zú mù mín zuì zhǔ yào de zhù jiā xíng shì

这是青藏高原上藏族牧民最主要的住家形式

Which is the primary living form of Tibetan herdsmen on the Tibetan Plateau

chī zhù shuì dōu zài lǐ biān

吃、住、睡都在里边

They eat, live and sleep inside the tent

yóu mù mín zú jiù shì zhú shuǐ cǎo ér jū de

游牧民族就是逐水草而居的

Nomads live beside water and grass

qiān xǐ de shí hòu dào le xīn de dì fāng

迁徙的时候，到了新的地方

When they reach a new place after moving

zhā xià hēi zhàng péng

扎下黑帐篷

They put up a black tent

kāi shǐ yī duàn xīn de shēng huó

开始一段新的生活

And start a new life

jiàn zhù miàn jī píng fāng mǐ

建筑面积700平方米

The building covers an area of 700 m2

zuì dà de tè diǎn jiù shì zhěng gè jiàn zhù chéng yī gè zì xíng

最大的特点就是整个建筑呈一个v字形

The highlight is its V shape

xiàng chǎng kāi le huái bào qù yōng bào cǎo yuán

像敞开了怀抱去拥抱草原

Like it opens its arms to embrace the grassland

qí zhōng yī tiáo biān shì píng xíng yú gōng lù shēn dào cǎo yuán de zhōng jiān

其中一条边是平行于公路，伸到草原的中间

One of the arms is parallel with the road, extending into the middle of the grassland

lìng wài yī tiáo biān zhèng duì zhù niàn qīng táng gǔ lā shān de zhǔ fēng

另外一条边正对著念青唐古拉山的主峰

The other faces the main peak of Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains

cān guān yóu lǎn de xiàn lù tā shì yī gè qǐ fú de guò chéng

参观游览的线路，它是一个起伏的过程

The tour route is a process of rising and falling

líng gǎn lái yuán yú kē zhǎng tóu de cáng mín

灵感来源于磕长头的藏民

It’s inspired the Tibetan people kowtowing

màn màn de yǒu zhè me yī gè cháo shèng de tǐ yàn

慢慢的有这么一个朝圣的体验

An experience of pilgrimage is slowly created

jìn rù jiàn zhù shǒu xiān kàn dào de shì yī gè xià shěn shì de guǎng chǎng

进入建筑，首先看到的是一个下沈式的广场

After you enter the building, you will first see a sunken square

yán zhù shí jiē ér xià

沿著石阶而下

Walking down the steps

suǒ kàn dào de tiān kōng huì yuè lái yuè shǎo

所看到的天空会越来越少

You will see less and less sky

qiáng miàn yě yuè lái yuè duō

墙面也越来越多

And more walls

tā de nèi xīn yě shì cóng zhī qián de yī gè kāi fàng de zhuàng tài zhú jiàn dì nèi liǎn

他的内心也是从之前的一个开放的状态逐渐地内敛

Your heart will gradually close from the open state before

biàn dé ān jìng

变得安静

And become quiet

jīng guò le xià shěn guǎng chǎng jiù jìn rù le guān jǐng de yī gè zhǎng láng

经过了下沈广场，就进入了观景的一个长廊

Passing through the square, you enter into a long viewing corridor

mǐ zhú jiàn dì shēng qǐ

35米，逐渐地升起

The 35m-long path rises slowly

shēn xiàng dà cǎo yuán

伸向大草原

And extends to the grassland

zài yōu àn de zhǎng láng zhōng

在幽暗的长廊中

In the dark corridor

zhǐ yǒu yuǎn chù shì yǒu liàng guāng de

只有远处是有亮光的

You can only see light from afar

zhōng tú huì yǒu shǎo liàng de tiān guāng sǎ xià lái

中途会有少量的天光洒下来

A small amount of light filter in midway

dào dá guān jǐng píng tái de shí hòu

到达观景平台的时候

When you reach the viewing platform

zhěng gè rén shì huō rán kāi lǎng de

整个人是豁然开朗的

It’s open and clear

nǐ huì fā xiàn zì jǐ piāo fú zài cǎo yuán zhī shàng

你会发现自己飘浮在草原之上

You’ll find yourself floating on the grassland

niàn qīng táng gǔ lā shān zhǔ fēng jiù zài yǎn qián

念青唐古拉山主峰就在眼前

And the main peak of Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains is right before your eyes

zǒu xià guān jǐng píng tái de tái jiē

走下观景平台的台阶

Walking down the steps of the viewing platform

shì yóu shí tóu hé niú fèn lěi chéng de huán xíng shēng mìng jǐn tóu guǎng chǎng

是由石头和牛粪垒成的环形“生命尽头”广场

You’ll see a round square named ‘the End of Life’ which is formed by piles of stones and cow dung

zhàn zài zhōng xīn tǐ huì cáng rén duì zì rán de qiān bēi hé duì shēng mìng de zūn zhòng

站在中心体会藏人对自然的谦卑和对生命的尊重

You can stand in the middle to feel Tibetan people’s humbleness towards nature and their respect for life

tóng shí wèi zì jǐ jiā rén hé péng yǒu qí fú

同时为自己、家人和朋友祈福

And pray for yourself, your family and your friends

jīng guò guǎng chǎng dào dá yī gè cān tīng

经过广场，到达一个餐厅

After going through the square, you’ll arrive at a restaurant

zhěng gè kōng jiān qí shí shì zhí jiē shēng dào le cǎo yuán de zhōng jiān

整个空间其实是直接升到了草原的中间

The space actually ascends directly to the middle of the grassland

lái zì wǔ hú sì hǎi de rén

来自五湖四海的人

People from all over the world

kě yǐ zài zhè fēn xiǎng tā men de jīng lì hé jiàn wén

可以在这分享他们的经历和见闻

其实建筑上的亮点比起我们所处大环境来说是非常渺小的

In fact the highlights of the building are very small compared with the environment we’re in

我们就是怀著很谦卑

We design with a humble and pure heart

很纯净的一个朝圣的心态来做设计

Like a pilgrim

zài cáng qū jiàn fáng zi

在藏区建房子

When you build a house in the Tibetan area

zuì zhòng yào shì le jiě tā men de wén huà

最重要是了解他们的文化

The most important thing is knowing their culture

zài xī cáng shuǐ shì fēi cháng fēi cháng shén shèng de

在西藏，水是非常非常神圣的

In Tibet, water is really sacred

gēn shān shì yī qǐ de

跟山是一起的

And it’s something to worship

dōu shì tā men de chóng bài ǒu xiàng

都是他们的崇拜偶像

Just like mountain

suǒ yǒu cǎo yuán de yùn yù qí shí dōu lái yuán yú xuě shān

所有草原的孕育，其实都来源于雪山

Snow mountains actually breed all the grasslands

xuě róng huà le zhī hòu de shuǐ

雪融化了之后的水

When snow thaws

liú dào wǒ men de cǎo yuán shàng

流到我们的草原上

Water runs to the lands

cái yùn yù chū zhè xiē cǎo

才孕育出这些草

And breeds such grass

zuì zhōng yě cái yǒu zhěng gè cáng qū de wén míng

最终也才有整个藏区的文明

And the whole Tibetan civilization eventually

wǒ men shè jì de yù yì yě shì yī zhǒng duì yú chún jìng xuě shān de chóng bài

我们设计的寓意也是一种对于纯净雪山的崇拜

Our design also intends to show the worship to the pure snow mountains

duì dà zì rán de chóng bài

对大自然的崇拜

And to the nature
