到底有没有人去关心当事人的处境

But do we really care about the person, what she is going through

最后我选择了贵阳周边的一个地方拍摄

I decided to shoot outside of Guiyang

王传君饰演在城市里面工作的一个记者

Wang Chuanjun plays the part of an urban journalist

hěn xiàng dāng dài qīng nián rén shēng huó de yī gè zhuàng tài

很像当代青年人生活的一个状态

He is representative of modern young people

Who is having a hard time in making progress at work

So he thinks that she is more or less rebellious

So he follows the kids to an alley

He no longer cares about the truth

在一个非常颓丧的情况下

Extremely devastated

jìn rù le nǚ hái yī zhí xiǎng qù de hǎi yáng guǎn

进入了女孩一直想去的海洋馆

He goes to the aquarium that the girl has always wanted to go

liǎng gè rén kàn le yī chǎng bái jīng

两个人看了一场白鲸

And they saw white whales

bāng zhù zhè gè nǚ hái jìn rù dào chéng shì

帮助这个女孩进入到城市

The girl later goes to a city

bèi gōng yì jī gòu jiù zhù zhī hòu de yī gè huán jìng

被公益机构救助之后的一个环境

To receive social assistance

tā bù zhī dào zhè gè huán jìng shì gèng jiā xiōng xiǎn

他不知道这个环境是更加凶险

He doesn’t know this is even more of a whirlpool

一开始王传君见我的时候，就直接问我

The first time Wang Chuanjun met me, he asked me

wǒ shì yǎn mǎ sài kè ma wǒ shuō shì

我是演马赛克吗？我说是

Am I playing Mosaic? I said yes

“It happened for the first time last year?”

在影片中有很多地方会呼应马赛克的元素

There are plenty of mosaic elements in the film

因为我常常会看到一些采访

I always see some interviews or something

或者一些画面里面会被打码

Where they blur up the image

大家好像是以尊重隐私的习惯

Following the tradition of respecting privacy

qù bǎ zhè gè gěi dǎng diào

去把这个给挡掉

And covering things up

wǒ jué dé dà bù fēn de shí hòu shì xīn lǐ shàng yǒu yī gè mǎ sài kè

我觉得大部分的时候是心理上有一个马赛克

For me it’s more like psychological mosaic

dà jiā zhǐ yuàn yì xiāng xìn zì jǐ xiǎng kàn dào de zhēn xiāng

大家只愿意相信自己想看到的真相

We tends to see what we want to believe

wǒ jué dé zhè cái shì zhè gè piàn zi de hé xīn

我觉得这才是这个片子的核心

This is the core of the film

piàn zi qí shí duì wǒ lái jiǎng shì yī gè yì shù chuàng zuò de yǐng piàn

片子其实对我来讲是一个艺术创作的影片

The film is an art creation for me

zài běi jīng dà gài yǒu jǐ shí wàn rén zài zuò diàn yǐng

在北京大概有几十万人在做电影

Hundreds of thousands of people are working in film industry

wǒ shì cóng gāo sān de shí hòu duì zhè jiàn shì gǎn xīng qù

我是从高三的时候对这件事感兴趣

I found my interest in film when I was in high school

zài dà xué qī jiān zì jǐ xué huì le pāi shè

在大学期间自己学会了拍摄

And I taught myself shooting in college

zì jǐ xué huì le jiǎn jí

自己学会了剪辑

And I learned editing

hái néng zuò diǎn měi shù zài huì xiě jù běn

还能做点美术，再会写剧本

I can also do a little bit of art and I can write scripts

shàng bān bù dào liǎng nián

上班不到两年

I worked for like two years

yǒu yī tiān wǒ jiù jué dé yīng gāi cí zhí le

有一天我就觉得应该辞职了

And one day I thought it’s time

cí zhí qù xiě jù běn

辞职去写剧本

So I quit and started writing the script

dà gài zài wǔ liù gè yuè zhī hòu jiù kāi pāi le

大概在五六个月之后就开拍了

Shooting started five or six months later

zài nián rù wéi le de zhǎng piān jìng sài

在2015年入围了first的长篇竞赛

And it was shortlisted in FIRST in 2015

zuì hòu hái ná le yī gè yì shù gòng xiàn jiǎng

最后还拿了一个艺术贡献奖

And won Best Artistic Contribution award

lóu yè dǎo yǎn shì zài jīn mǎ chuàng tóu de shí hòu

娄烨导演是在（2016）金马创投的时候

At the 2016 Golden Horse FPP

zuò wèi píng shěn zhǔ xí

作为评审主席

Director Lou Ye as the chairman of that year

fēi cháng tuī chóng wǒ men zhè gè xiàng mù

非常推崇我们这个项目

Was very supportive of our project

wǒ hòu qī jiǎn le le yī xiē bǎn běn gěi tā kàn

我（后期）剪了了一些版本给他看

I cut some versions for him later

他给我讲了一些具体方法

And he instructed me on some technics

hé zhè xiē qián bèi de jiē chù huì chuán chéng yī zhǒng jīng shén

和这些前辈的接触会传承一种精神

A spirit is passed on through interaction with these predecessors
