佛经开卷语。传说释迦牟尼灭后，弟子们汇集他的言论，因阿难为佛侍者，所闻最多，就推他宣唱佛说，他以"如是我闻"开场，意为我闻佛如此说。"如是"，指经中的内容;"我闻"，指阿难亲自听闻。着此一句，以昭信实。见《佛地经论》卷一。
